Day Five - Reflection

Centuries of war, communist oppression, racial prejudice, and government corruption plague the minds of many Albanians. But there is hope in Christ. There are several people I met who have big dreams for this country – one of the poorest and most unreached people group in Europe. Pastors have committed their lives to transform the people. They have visions that by their standards take great wealth to fulfill, but by many American’s standards seems like a drop in the bucket.

With over half of the Albanian population living outside Albania, there are businessmen who have come back to Albania to make a life and to impact their people. I will be working with these Pastors who have the calloused hands made by the work it takes to be self-supporting while doing their ministry. I will be working with the business owners who are seeking loans to make a better life and impact for them and their communities and their church.

These are the True Kingdom Entrepreneurs that Jessi and I are blessed to have the opportunity to serve alongside for the next two years. I have come away humbled and with a broken heart for the people of Albania. Jesus, use my family as your hands and feet, and may our ministry bless others and lift you up.
